PUT A LITTLE AD:VENTURE INTO YOUR BUSINESS VENTURE

It’s never too early to start planning for the new year and, with summer quickly drawing to a close, Leeds Business Week (LBW) has just the ticket to ensure that you stride into 2018 with a network of renewed business connections and an optimism like never before!

Whether it’s a trusted collective of business contacts, professional advice from leading entrepreneurs or an opportunity to showcase your organisation to the thousands of influential business people who are expected to attend, Leeds Business Week (LBW) has scheduled an array of activities, events and seminars designed to take your business to the next level when it returns to the city from 9th – 13th October.

The notion of being stronger together may sound familiar, after all it is the very basis upon which the organisers of LBW and the Yorkshire Mafia (YM) operate. This is why, year-on-year, the business membership organisation choose only sponsors who support that philosophy and bring fresh ideas, services and support to the proceedings. So, without further ado, we’d like to introduce you to our latest sponsor, AD:VENTURE Business Support Programme.

Putting the AD:VENTURE programme on a platform

Hoping to nurture that entrepreneurial spirit and ensure that the new year is a successful one for us all, AD:VENTURE will join LBW to showcase how they can support the ambitions of young businesses, at various stages of their enterprising journey, to help create a more prosperous tomorrow by working together. AD:VENTURE is funded by the European Regional Development Programme and an impressive set of regional partners, showing a commitment regionally to make access to support easier for new and young business.

Capitalising upon the strong reputation that LBW has garnered both within the Leeds City Region and beyond, AD:VENTURE will utilise the platform to raise awareness of its business support programme and the helping hand that it offers to up and coming, innovative new businesses.

Leader of Leeds City Council, Cllr Judith Blake comments: “With Leeds Business Week being so well-known and respected by businesses both locally and further afield, it attracts a real mix of organisations including many which possess the entrepreneurial spirit and ambition that AD:VENTURE is here to support.

“Raising awareness of the programme at events like these is vital to ensure that intermediaries and companies working with SME’s can encourage eligible businesses to access the incredible support and funding that we offer.”

With some fantastic products offered by the programme, from one-to-one mentoring, university support, workshops, peer-to-peer learning, and even a grant element for new start and young businesses that have aspirational growth ambitions, the team at AD:VENTURE felt that LBW presented a perfect opportunity to showcase its offering.

Roger Marsh OBE, Chair of the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP), comments:

“Supporting growing businesses is at the heart of the LEP’s work to transform the Leeds City Region economy and the AD:VENTURE programme helps businesses get off to the best and most informed start.  Leeds Business Week is a great platform for us to connect with businesses and showcase the wide range of support available to help them grow.”

Nurture new connections

So, whether it’s business connections, professional advice or just an opportunity to socialise and find out more about what businesses in and around Leeds have to offer, come along to LBW and give yourself a head start for 2018. Then, why not go one step further and build on those new relationships.

But how? we hear you ask…

Well, with a huge event like LBW under our belts, you’d be forgiven for thinking that here at the YM we have our hands well and truly full – and you may be right – but we love a challenge. That’s why we continue to offer our network of 22,000 business professionals who come together to meet, share and learn, the opportunity to attend our year-round programme of events, which include our regular drinks evenings and Buy Yorkshire 2018.
